Visitor Access Procedures
Foreign National Visitors must be pre-coordinated NLT five business days before the date of the visit. All Foreign National Visitors must be entered into the NASA Foreign National Management System (FNMS). Ms Terima Smith is the Foreign National Visit Coordinator, 358-1654.
Foreign National Visitors must be physically met and escorted by their sponsors while in NASA HQ. Foreign National Visitors are not allowed within NASA HQ between 7 PM - 7AM and not on weekends.
All visits to NASA HQ should be pre-coordinated through the HQ Security Office NLT one business day before the visit. Forward the visitor requests by email to: HQ-visitoraccess@mail.nasa.gov, or, HQ-VisitorAccess in the Outlook Address Book on a NASA computer.
The following information must be included:
- PURPOSE OF VISIT
- NAME(s) OF GUEST(s)
- CITIZENSHIP STATUS
- POINT OF CONTACT
- POC's BADGE NUMBER
- POC's TELEPHONE NUMBER
- DATE OF VISIT
- TIME OF VISIT
- ROOM NUMBER
The visitor information will be in place at the Visitor Center in the West Lobby. Visitors will need only to show valid ID and they will receive Visitor Badges. All visitors will go through the Magnetometer and their hand carried items will be X-Rayed.
If the visit is not pre-coordinated, the sponsor must meet the visitor in the West Lobby and sign the visitor in or the visitor can call the sponsor from the Visitor Center desk and the sponsor can authorize the visitor over the phone with the Security Officer.
